The Lake District works in cooperation with the Waupaca Chain O’Lakes Association and Golden Sands, of Stevens Point to provide boat inspections at the Taylor Lake landing and Snug Harbor boat landings. The purpose is to educate boaters on the effects of transporting invasive species. The Lake District partially funds this project through a grant provided by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The District is always in need of volunteers to man the boat landings on weekend between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Volunteers work either from 9:30am to 12:00pm or 12:00pm to 2:30pm. Please contact the District to volunteer!
